Yes it is - with 2 caveats

• One company cannot have more than 2 individual user accounts

Any LTC that is:

• Created (new) + sent
  or

• Received + sent back
  or

• Copied + sent

All subsequent negotiations (send/receive/send back) of the same LTC are free.

Example 1: Create + send a new LTC

• You create a new laytime claim + send to your counterpart (V1)

• Counterpart (CP) open, edit, send back their LTC version (V2)

• You open, edit, send your counter (V3)

• CP open, edits, sends their counter (V4)

• You open, edit, send your counter (V5)

• CP agrees V5

V1 + send = 1 x SHINC LTC
V2 - V5 = FREE

Example 2: Receive + send a LTC

• You receive a LTC from your counterpart via SHINC (V1)

• You open, edit, send it back (V2)

• Counterpart (CP) open, edit, sends their LTC version (V3)

• You send your counter (V4)

• CP sends their counter (V5)

• You send your counter (V6)

• CP agrees V6

V2 + send = 1x SHINC LTC
V3 - V6 = Free

Example 3: Copy + send a LTC

• You open an existing LTC, copy, edit, send to a new counterpart (V1)

• Counterpart (CP) open, edit, send back their LTC version (V2)

• You open, edit, send your counter (V3)

• CP open, edits, sends their counter (V4)

• You open, edit, send your counter (V5)

• CP agrees V5

V1 + send = 1x SHINC LTC
V2 - V5 = FREE

Per port. For a voyage with 1 load port + 1 discharge port = 2 LTCs

Yes.

Counterparts who have not signed up to SHINC can collaborate (view, edit, negotiate, send, agree) with a SHINC user via the SHINC platform for FREE.

This benefits both parties as it saves users time, versus today's email + attachment methodology, whilst also providing users with a full audit trail of negotiations.

Once the Laytime Claim (LTC) is 'agreed' non members can download a pdf version of the 'agreed' LTC.

Anyone who is involved in the laytime claims process. Charterers, Owners, Terminals, Commodity Buyers, Sellers, Traders, Receivers, Shippers, Brokers.

Currently we are early in our journey to digitise the laytime vertical.

As such we are targeting our approach to those companies/users currently using Excel or CD-Rom software to produce their Laytime Claims. This is the audience we feel we can provide the most value to currently.

Those using VMS laytime modules will form part of our journey in the near future once we have released more features that provide this user type enough value to consider switching across to SHINC.

Absolutely. SHINC can still be used alongside a VMS. See subsequent FAQs.

Yes. Most VMS laytime modules allow the user to insert the ‘dem/des’ $ amount without having to do the whole laytime calc. One can therefore use SHINC to ‘go digital’ for their laytime claim workflow process yet still capture the ‘dem/des’ result in their VMS.  Simply enter the ‘dem/des’ result number into the VMS.

We work with an open API so if you do wish to integrate we can do this for you on a case by case basis.
